Description

A warm, comforting Southern-inspired breakfast bake with fluffy biscuits, creamy sausage gravy, eggs, and cheese; all in one dish.


Ingredients

Sausage Gravy:

  • 1 lb sausage

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 3 tbsp flour

  • 2½ cups milk

  • Salt & pepper to taste

Casserole:

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits

  • 6 eggs

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook sausage, add butter and flour, then whisk in milk to make gravy.
  3. Whisk eggs with milk.
  4. Layer half biscuits, sausage gravy, eggs, cheese, and remaining biscuits.
  5. Bake 30–35 minutes until golden.
  6. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Assemble the night before for easy mornings.

Add bacon or veggies for flavor.
