A rich, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth soft caramel candy perfect for holiday gifting and Christmas treat boxes.
Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter

2 cups granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup light corn syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Flaky sea salt for topping (optional)
Instructions

Line an 8×8 pan with parchment and butter lightly.

Melt butter in a saucepan; add sugars, cream, and corn syrup.

Cook to 238–242°F, stirring often.

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt.

Pour into pan and cool fully.

Cut into squares and wrap individually.
Notes
Use a candy thermometer for best results.
Add flaky sea salt for a salted caramel version.
Can be doubled using a larger pot.
