Description

These Peppermint Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft, chewy, and full of chocolate chips and crushed candy canes; a festive, easy Christmas treat for all ages.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup butter

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla

  • ½ tsp peppermint extract

  • 2¼ cups flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1½ cups chocolate chips

  • ½ cup crushed candy canes


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • Cream butter and sugars.

  • Add eggs, vanilla, and peppermint.

  • Mix dry ingredients and combine.

  • Fold in chocolate chips and candy canes.

  • Bake 9–11 mins and cool.

Notes

Don’t overbake for chewy texture.

Use peppermint extract (not mint).

Add white chocolate for variety.

Store airtight up to 5 days or freeze 2 months.
