Ingredients

4 large egg whites (room temperature)

1 cup granulated sugar

¼ tsp cream of tartar

½ tsp vanilla extract

Melted chocolate or edible gel for decorating
Instructions

Preheat oven to 225°F (110°C). Line trays with parchment paper.

Whip egg whites until foamy, add cream of tartar.

Gradually add sugar and whip until glossy stiff peaks form. Add vanilla.

Pipe ghost shapes onto trays.

Bake for 1.5 hours until dry. Turn off oven, leave to cool inside with door ajar.

Add chocolate eyes and mouths. Let set before serving.

Ensure all tools are grease-free.
Use superfine sugar for best results.
