Description

Flaky puff pastry twisted with a creamy jalapeño popper filling made of cream cheese, cheddar, jalapeños and bacon. A festive and irresistible party appetizer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry

  • 4 ounces cream cheese

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar

  • 2 fresh jalapeños, finely diced

  • 1 tablespoon bacon bits

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Pinch of salt and pepper

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon water


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 F.

  • Combine cream cheese, cheddar, jalapeños, bacon and seasonings.

  • Unroll puff pastry and spread mixture evenly.

  • Fold pastry sheet in half.

  • Cut into strips and twist each piece.

  • Place on baking sheet and brush with egg wash.

  • Bake 16 to 18 minutes until golden.

  • Serve warm with dipping sauce.

Notes

Remove jalapeño seeds for a milder flavor. Use pepper jack cheese for added heat.
