Description
Flaky puff pastry twisted with a creamy jalapeño popper filling made of cream cheese, cheddar, jalapeños and bacon. A festive and irresistible party appetizer.
Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry

4 ounces cream cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar

2 fresh jalapeños, finely diced

1 tablespoon bacon bits

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Pinch of salt and pepper

1 egg

1 tablespoon water
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 F.

Combine cream cheese, cheddar, jalapeños, bacon and seasonings.

Unroll puff pastry and spread mixture evenly.

Fold pastry sheet in half.

Cut into strips and twist each piece.

Place on baking sheet and brush with egg wash.

Bake 16 to 18 minutes until golden.

Serve warm with dipping sauce.
Notes
Remove jalapeño seeds for a milder flavor. Use pepper jack cheese for added heat.
