Description

Soft, fluffy, and buttery gluten-free dinner rolls that rise beautifully and taste like traditional bread. Perfect for holidays or everyday meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups gluten-free all-purpose flour (with xanthan gum)

  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast

  • 1 cup warm milk or almond milk (110°F)

  • 2 large eggs, room temperature

  • 3 tbsp honey or sugar

  • 4 tbsp melted butter (or vegan butter)

  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, honey, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add eggs, melted butter, and yeast mixture.
  3. Beat with a mixer for 2–3 minutes until smooth and sticky (the dough will be wet).
  4. Cover and let rise for 1 hour until slightly puffy.
  5. Shape into 8–10 balls with greased hands and place in a greased baking pan.
  6. Cover again and rise 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Brush with melted butter and bake 18–22 minutes until golden.

Notes

Use room temperature eggs and milk for best rise.

Dough should be sticky; don’t add extra flour.

For dairy-free, use almond milk and vegan butter.

Freeze baked rolls up to 2 months; reheat at 300°F for 10 minutes.
