Description

These chewy Gingerbread Crinkle Cookies are filled with warm holiday spices and rolled in powdered sugar for a festive, snowy finish. Perfect for Christmas baking and cookie exchanges.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2¼ cups flour

  • 1½ tsp ginger

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp cloves

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ cup butter

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ⅓ cup molasses

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup sugar (for rolling)

  • ½ cup powdered sugar (for coating)


Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients.
  2. Beat butter, sugar, molasses, and egg.
  3. Combine into dough and chill 1 hour.
  4. Roll in sugar, then powdered sugar.
  5. Bake 9–11 mins at 350°F.
  6. Cool and enjoy.

Notes

Chill dough before baking.

Use unsulfured molasses for best taste.

Add a dash of nutmeg for extra spice.
