Description

A festive twist on classic pasta, Cranberry Spaghetti combines the sweet-tart flavor of cranberry sauce with savory spaghetti, creamy ricotta, and parmesan. Perfect for holiday leftovers or a creative weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb spaghetti

  • 1 can jellied cranberry sauce

  • 1 lb ground chuck or Italian sausage

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or red wine

  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese

  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Fresh basil for garnish


Instructions

  • Cook spaghetti until al dente, reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.

  • Brown meat in a skillet until crisp.

  • Add onion and garlic, cook until soft.

  • Stir in cranberry sauce and mash until smooth.

  • Add broth or wine, simmer 10–15 minutes.

  • Toss pasta in sauce, adjust consistency with pasta water.

  • Top with ricotta, parmesan, and basil before serving.
