Description

Savory mushroom caps filled with buttery, herbed breadcrumbs and baked to golden perfection. A festive and elegant appetizer for holiday entertaining.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 medium mushrooms, stems removed and chopped

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • ¼ cup onion, chopped

  • ¼ cup celery, chopped

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs

  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped

  • Salt and pepper

  • Optional: 2 tbsp cream cheese or sausage


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté chopped stems, onion, celery, and garlic in butter.
  3. Stir in breadcrumbs, cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff mixture into mushroom caps.
  5. Bake 18–20 minutes until golden.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Use medium mushrooms for best balance of size and flavor.

Add cream cheese or sausage for richness.

Make ahead and refrigerate unbaked up to 24 hours.

Reheat in oven or air fryer for crispness.
