Description

Warm, buttery, and full of cinnamon flavor, this Easy Apple Crisp Recipe with Oats is the ultimate fall dessert. Perfectly tender apples topped with a golden oat crumble.


Ingredients

  • 6 medium apples, sliced

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • ¾ cup oats

  • ¾ cup flour

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ½ cup cold butter, cubed

  • Pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 baking dish.
  2. Toss apples with sugar, spices, lemon juice, vanilla, and cornstarch. Spread in dish.
  3. Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle topping evenly over apples.
  5. Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Cool slightly before serving warm with ice cream.

Notes

Mix sweet and tart apples for balanced flavor.

Add nuts or caramel drizzle for a richer version.

To make gluten-free, use GF oats and flour.
